What to bring for your stay

  • Your dog's food to ensure consistency and reduce tummy troubles while travelling
  • Properly fitting collar and leash (or other tools) you walk your dog with
  • Any medications (with instructions, if not on bottle)
  • If they are anxious, a blanket or favorite stuffy that reminds them of home
  • Special treats if they have dietary restrictions
  • Any type of specialized toy for enrichment or playtime that your dog requires for fulfillment

No need to bring food and water bowls, beds, regular toys, or treats, we have plenty of those to share!

Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.

Do you offer consultations?

Yes! We would love to learn more about your dog via a complimentary phone consultation or an in person meet and greet. Please use the "Send us a Message" button on the contact page and I will be in touch to discuss next steps.

Do you have cats or children?

Child and cat free home for dogs who don't care for either.

Do you have other dogs?

Yes! Two well socialized shelter alumni around 60-75lbs. They are known as the Baby Gators because they like to affectionately bite each others faces. Don't worry, they have some manners and don't play bite our house guests, unless our house guests are into that kind of thing!

What vaccines do you require?

Rabies and DHPP (Distemper, Adenovirus/Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza) are mandatory. Titers showing immunity are acceptable if vaccines are expired. Bordetella required to interact with other dogs during their stay.

Why do you charge by the day and not by the night?

Even if your pup doesn't stay a full overnight on their last day, they still need breakfast and their morning potty time! I offer a half day rate for pick-ups prior to noon, but I do charge for every calendar day services are provided.

Can my dog get on the furniture?

Absolutely! Of course, I am happy to reinforce a no furniture policy if that is their home routine.

Can my dog sleep with you?

Unfortunately, I can't have all the dogs I care for and my resident dogs in the bed when I am sleeping for safety purposes. If your dog can sleep in a crate, I have plenty lined up in the bedroom so we can all sleep in the same room. If they can not sleep in a crate, I have two different areas in the house where they can sleep contained to a room in comfy beds with classical music playing.

What if I'm not sure if my dog is good with other dogs?

I am happy to attempt slow introductions and proceed with playtime based on how your dog is responding. My dogs are used to meeting strange dogs and do not escalate if a dog corrects them or does not want to play.

Why do you require scheduled pick up and drop off times?

I have found it is helpful that all campers currently here have a chance to relieve themselves and return to their designated comfy quarters prior to pick ups/drop offs. Scheduling your arrival time helps me have time to follow this process and ensure a better experience for all.

Do you offer services outside of your home?

At this time, I do not offer dog siting, walking or drop in visits inside the home's of my clients. This allows me to provide the standard of care my clients expect for the dogs staying at Camp Baby Gators.

How many dogs are in your care at any given time?

I prioritize quality over quantity and typically only book with two clients at a time. Occasionally a client will have two dogs that I keep, but those dogs typically stay in their own space together. We also have days where clients overlap due to popular days people leave and return from vacation. Typically there are only two client dogs and two resident dogs at Camp Baby Gators.
